What a beautiful scenery. The title certainly fits well. I really like how nicely the clouds and trees are reflected on the water surface although it's not completely calm. The uprising vapors from the water make it truly mystical. The platform on the left seems like the single solid anchor point before you drift off into the dreamy distance.
Well there were three of us on this week long trip in paradise, and between us we caught 492 fish. Mostly trophy size northern pike, and walleye. The largest northern was 40 inches and the largest walleye was 29 Iinches
Even before I read the comments, I knew this was taken during a fishing trip. The dock there really gives me that impression, I think. We meet again, and I love this picture. Makes me think of times fishing. I do wish there was bit more contrast with the darkened clouds and sky...just needs to have a bit more shadow. Just looks a bit faded, though my camera will do that to photos. The reflection in the lake is tremendous, but appears brighter to me than the sky...which if you intended is fine because it is the main focal point. Other than some brightness issues...I love how the shore is masked by the slight fog on the surface. Just stunning.
Actually, this is just the way I remember that morning, the sky colors were all soft pastels. We were also so far North that the sunrise seemed to last for hours as we waited for the plane to return us to civilization. Reflected colors in the water will always appear darker than the sky due to not having 100% reflectivity from the water.
